I see so many interesting recipes involving pumpkin this time of year. Here’s a little list of the ones that caught my attention. Some of these tempting pumpkin recipes are twists on old favorites and some, I expect, will become new favorites. These exceptional food bloggers never fail to surprise and delight!
I love pumpkin-inspired recipes! I can get lost for hours just looking at gorgeous food blog photos and selecting my favorites. I decided to put together this little list of pumpkin recipes that inspired me… some are a bit unusual, so they caught my eye for that reason.
And some are little twists on more well-known pumpkin recipes, so that also made me pause and take note. I didn’t do a long “Here are 65 new recipes you have to try!” post because those tend to overwhelm me and it all starts to look alike after so many clicks for the same concept. So, I’ve narrowed it to a more reasonable size list. Have a look and see what you think!
1. Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese

This is my new favorite recipe for my “must try” list… it looks great! For some reason I don’t really like pumpkin cheesecake – it doesn’t taste cheesecake-y enough or pumpkin pie-ish enough for me.
So I think this might be a winner, as the two flavors are separated. Doesn’t it look yummy? Vera’s recipes are always so decadently delicious!

2. Low Carb Pumpkin Mousse

This pumpkin mousse looks so scrumptious! I can’t wait to try it… it looks like the perfect dessert if you want something elegant but you are over- the-top with carbs during this season. It would be a nice finish to a dinner party meal, if served like this in tiny beautiful cups or glasses? Just imagining here…

3. Pumpkin Spiced Latte Baked Donuts

I like that these donuts are baked, but still manage to look rich and luscious, and not dry like some baked donuts are. Of course, the frosting glaze helps with that. Plus, the recipe features espresso powder along with pumpkin, which I find fascinating. Yes, these are just begging to be baked!

4. Pumpkin Streusel Cake

I really like the idea of this bundt cake with a streusel layer in the middle (I’m partial to anything with streusel!). Marie, from the English Kitchen, offers several pumpkin recipes on her blog; doesn’t this one look really moist and delish? This recipe is definitely on my top ten tempting pumpkin recipes list. If Marie says it tastes great, I believe her!
You can find this recipe at The English Kitchen.
5. Fudgy Pumpkin Bars with Vanilla Bean Brown Butter Glaze

These pumpkin bars really caught my eye and the word “fudgy” in the title sealed the deal. Seems like this recipe will really showcase the subtle taste of pumpkin that can get overshadowed in some recipes. And if you have seen my other dessert recipes, you know how much I love anything with vanilla – especially vanilla beans!

6. Pumpkin Sage Polenta

Just in case you think I’m only into desserts, check out this recipe for pumpkin polenta. What a great idea! Polenta is one of those comfort foods that is so satisfying when done right… and this recipe has all the yum factors to be a winner.

7. Pumpkin Crumb Cake Muffins

Here we go again with the streusel, but I can’t help it; these muffins look really tasty and I can’t wait to try them! The only thing stopping me is that I don’t have a muffin tin at the moment and they just shut down all non-essential retail shops here -again – in Republic of Georgia, where we are living. (Who said muffin tins are not essential???) I always have at least two or three sizes on hand when I’m not traveling… but anyway, I hope I get a chance to try these muffins soon…

8. Pumpkin Potato Bake

I do have a couple baking pans here, so I will definitely be whipping up this vegetarian pumpkin and potato bake soon… it looks like veggie wintertime comfort food to me. I like the idea of using Asian spices with the pumpkin for a change from the typical thyme, rosemary and sage that most savory pumpkin recipes include…

9. Perfect Pumpkin Pie

And… it just wouldn’t be right to make a pumpkin recipes list without including a pumpkin pie, don’t you agree? This one is not just any ol’ pumpkin pie, because it also has sweet potatoes in it. I think that’s a great idea, as sweet potatoes have such a nice richness and provide additional deep orange color to make a really gorgeous pumpkin pie! I’ve had great inspiration and success with Michelle’s recipes… I expect this one to be another winner!
You can find this recipe at Brown Eyed Baker.
So that’s it! My pumpkin recipe selections to try from around the web… Have fun with all the pumpkin inspired ideas!
